Teach AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga

AntiGravity® Yoga: Our Philosophy
Fun: AntiGravity® denotes combatting the laws of physics, but it also means against graveness -- in other words, stay light and have fun! When you laugh you are working your risible muscles. In AntiGravity® Yoga we are intent on keeping them in shape.
Awareness: Yoga is a practice of awareness in body, mind and spirit. Finding "now presence" is the objective of yoga practice. It is in the present moment that you are safe, that you are in flow with the universe and that you experience joy.
Accessible: Fitness techniques are not just for those who are physically gifted. They should be for everyone. AntiGravity® Yoga is easily modified to accommodate all fitness levels. It has been our desire to make AntiGravity® Yoga accessible to anyone who is sincerely pursuing health.
Inspiration: Inspiration is the key to sticking with a fitness program. AntiGravity® is a creative technique based on a movement art form that is meant to inspire fitness. The process should be rewarding, not only based on the physical results one will receive, but also on the satisfaction of creative accomplishment.
Anti-Aging: AntiGravity® denotes fighting against the aging affects of gravity. As the body ages, the joints need to be pushed to maintain mobility. The muscles need to be worked to maintain proper alignment and the discs need to be hydrated to minimize deterioration. If we don't use it, we lose it.
Grace: Physical grace comes from trained kinesthetic awareness. AntiGravity Yoga prides on creating beauty. Balance, body line and agility are dependent on fine-tuned proprioceptors (sensory receptors). This is best accomplished though a wide range of motion through numerous physical planes. This kind of conditioning is also a great cross-training technique for other sports, guaranteed to make an athlete faster and give them the competitive edge.
Flight: Although man was not born with wings, the dream of flight is primal to humans. AntiGravity® Yoga stems from that dream. Participants leave class feeling for a moment that they have "slipped the surly bonds of earth", sprouted wings and realized the dream of flight.

So you think you've got what it takes to teach AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga?

AG Restorative

AG Restorative Yoga
AntiGravity® Yoga Restorative is the gentle, healing side of Christopher Harrison‚s AntiGravity Yoga. This powerful method focuses the mind through powerful visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips, and connective tissues of the body. This technique features full body inversions, alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction. It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility, and mind/body connection. Taught in a sequential flow to music, the class incorporates levitating meditations, zero-compression inversions, supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating sivasana. Working from different hammock heights allows for the gentle opening of hips and spine.

1 Star Master Instructor Trainer Course

1 Star Instructor Trainer Course
On Becoming a Star Instructor Trainer:

Star Instructor Trainers are acting at a Leadership level in AntiGravity Fitness and are responsible for presenting courses designed to teach certain persons to become Certified AG Fitness Instructors. There are only a limited number of Star Instructor Trainers. Becoming a Star Instructor Trainer gives a chance to profoundly increase your knowledge of AG Fitness techniques while also generating more income. You will not only be able to keep presenting classes to the public but also teach courses creating new Certified AG Fitness Instructors. There is even the possibility of offering one day “mini-retreats” at your center or studio.

Where to Begin - Become a One Star Instructor Trainer:

Becoming a One Star Instructor Trainer is the first step. A One Star Instructor Trainer is responsible for preparing new AG Fitness Instructors to present AG Fundamentals 1 & 2 to the public. To apply to become a One Star Instructor Trainer you must be an active Certified Level Two AG Fitness Instructor. This means you are actively teaching the public classes in AG Fundamentals 1 & 2 AND either classes in AG Aerial Yoga 1 & 2 OR AG Suspension Fitness 1 & 2.

There is a four (4) day course required to prepare you to become a One Star Instructor Trainer. In this course, you will revisit the AG Fundamentals One & Two experience and explore all the elements so as to be able to teach novice instructors. Teaching new instructors requires a much higher level of understanding than presenting classes to the public. This four day course is both demanding and very satisfying to any person wanting to grow professionally.
